Steven says:
“I started out in music in the late 1970’s while in college in Charlotte, NC (USA) singing in a series of “garage bands” that played mostly for free at private parties, college mixers, back yard barbecues and the like. I foolishly dropped out of college in my third year to join “Triage”, a heavy metal rock group, thinking it would be my big break. It wasn’t. Triage played for a year or so in biker bars and clubs around the Charlotte area and was dissolved when the drummer met a girl and quit the band to “sell his drums to buy a Corvette”.
Another series of garage bands followed after going back to finish college, and one, “Saucy Jack” managed to get out and play some gigs in local bars and clubs, also in the Charlotte area. After a reasonable time no big break was forthcoming so with a view to actually making money, and eating well, I quit the band business and got a real job.
Around 18 years and 3 fortune 500 companies later I had enough of the the corporate ladder and decided to start my own business. I wanted to do something more related to my long time passion, music. In 1993 I created Ultrasound Audio, a live event production service. Over the next 20 years or so I built portable sound and lighting systems, delivered, set up and operated them for every conceivable type of music or performing arts group from little girls dance recitals to local bands, Jazz and rock festivals, musical theater, and even a few well known artists like Joan Baez, Goo Goo Dolls, John Hiatt, Bon Jovi and others. This time was my real world education, where I learned of the beauty, magic, blood, sweat, and tears that goes into making and presenting music to a live audience.
I retired and sold Ultrasound in 2017 and since then I’ve discovered a new passion, building, modifying, painting and collecting guitars, while also learning to play guitar and as always, I still love singing. In 2021 I moved to Germany where I met Kevin, the founder of the VI Blues band, and Nigel,  Kevins long time friend. I can honestly say that collaborating with Kevin and Nigel and having a part in creating original music has been the most fun time of all on this musical journey of mine. I hope you enjoy the music.”
